Accountability Objective: These positions are accountable for delivering a high-quality instructional experience through creativity, resourcefulness, and sound judgment consistent with the curriculum frameworks and standards of the Worcester Public Schools.

• Remain up to date regarding curriculum content.
• Effectively plan and assess curriculum and instruction.
• Mentor students’ understanding of the curriculum and adjust instruction, materials, or assessments when appropriate.
• Effectively manage the classroom environment.
• Deliver effective instruction, making learning goals clear and using appropriate instructional and questioning techniques.
• Use innovative approaches and instructional strategies, including technology, to increase student learning and confidence.
• Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement.
• Promote equity and appreciation of diversity to ensure equitable opportunities for all students, including those with special needs, 504 plans, and second-language learners.
• Provide equal educational and employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, religion, gender identity, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, or homelessness.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

• MA DESE Teacher Certification in History 5-12
• Bachelor’s Degree
• SEI Endorsement

• Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs
• Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition
• Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African language
