As a teacher in the Worcester Public Schools you will provide rigorous instruction to a diverse student body. You will align your teaching to the district and state curriculum, regularly assess student learning comprehension, modify instruction to ensure mastery, and create a classroom conducive to the needs of all learners, including English learners and students with disabilities. • Remain current with curriculum content.
• Plan and assess curriculum and instruction effectively.
• Mentor students’ understanding of the curriculum, adjusting instruction, materials, or assessments as appropriate.
• Manage the classroom environment effectively.
• Deliver instruction that makes learning goals clear, using appropriate instructional and questioning techniques.
• Use innovative approaches, instructional strategies, and technology to enhance student learning and confidence.
• Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement.
• Promote equity and appreciation of diversity to ensure equitable learning opportunities, including strategies for students with special needs, 504 plans, and second‑language learners.

• Bachelor's Degree
• Massachusetts DESE license, PK‑6
• SEI Endorsement

• Teaching experience in the content area.
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs.
• Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African language.
