Electrical Project Manager – Mission Critical

The Eaton ES AMER ESS division is seeking a fully remote Electrical Project Manager with up to 50% travel. Expected annual salary range: $93,750.03 – $. This position is eligible for a variable incentive program.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform site surveys evaluating current electrical and mechanical conditions and create designs to upgrade, replace, or install new electrical infrastructures from utility and generator inputs to data room floor distribution based on customer requirements.
  • Use modern project‑management tools and techniques to design and execute projects related to the engineering, procurement, and construction of electrical power system modifications.
  • Lead modernization projects related to electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution with a focus on critical power systems.
  • Deliver projects professionally and safely, applying knowledge of industrial and utility power distribution equipment, power system engineering, critical power systems, and construction safety.
  • Take full responsibility for assigned projects from inception to scope development, planning, execution, and resource management.
  • Create clear and achievable cost, quality, and schedule objectives and follow them to successful completion.
  • Provide technical leadership to district sales & service teams.
  • Manage and direct a team on awarded projects for electrical equipment, including transformers, switch gear, switchboards, distribution systems, data floors, power distribution units, UPS, motor control centers, automatic transfer switches, generators, rotating equipment, and AC drives.
  • Maintain all assigned projects, ensuring customer expectations and contract requirements are met.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage change orders between customers and Eaton.
  • Communicate scope and responsibilities between Eaton’s customers, employees, and suppliers/sub‑contractors.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with at least 3 years of project‑management experience on large electrical projects, or an associate degree with 4 years, or a high school diploma with 6 years (primary concentration on mission critical applications).
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel within and outside the US without restrictions.
  • Ability to gain access to military and government sites and obtain a security clearance.
  • Residency in the Central/Midwest, Southeast, or Northeastern United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction.
  • Retired Military.
  • Proficiency with Primavera and/or MS Project.
  • Project Management Professional certification.
  • Knowledge of data center construction.
  • Working knowledge of packaged equipment solutions.
  • Technical experience in electrical, mechanical, structural, or civil construction techniques.
  • Experience with EM385 Army Corps of Engineers requirements.
  • Quality Control certifications or experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
