As a Robotics Electrical Engineer, you will design, build, and test PCBA and module designs such as compute modules, sensors, and robotic end-effector tools for our robot solutions.
Responsibilities- Work with an interdisciplinary team to design new robotic industrial automation from concept to production, and improve and maintain existing product designs.
- Design of complex electrical systems, including: layouts, schematics, BOM, documentation for fabrication, coordination with build/procurement, certification/QC and field support.
- Write requirements and functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
- Develop field support hardware diagnostics tools, documents, and training to resolve issues in high complexity system installations.
- Work with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organizations, as well as vendors to ensure a smooth production transition of design changes.
- Deep-dive electronics issues, optimize configurations, develop and execute tests to verify functionality.
- Travel to vendors, installation sites, and manufacturing partners to ensure high quality is maintained.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up
- 4+ years of experience in the design of complex electrical products and equipment
- Established background in Robotics or Mechatronic Systems
- Configuration management PDM and PLM experience
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well with teams of hardware and software engineers
- Ability to effectively communicate concepts and proposals
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Built and deployed robots to production environments
- Proficiency with Agile Product Lifecycle Management PLM software and ECOs
- Significant experience with the hardware product development process

Compensationand Benefits
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
