Safety Assurance Director

A company is looking for a Sr. Director, Safety Assurance & Operational Readiness (ORV).

Key Responsibilities Design and architect the Operational Readiness Verification (ORV) framework, including safety criteria and verification logic Lead preparation and execution phases, ensuring safety audits and operational exercises are conducted effectively Oversee continuous safety monitoring, including occurrence reporting, compliance, and safety training programs

Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in Safety Assurance, Flight Standards, or ORV/ORAT at a major carrier or aerospace OEM Expert-level understanding of FAA Part 5 (SMS) and aviation safety culture Familiarity with risk modeling techniques such as Bow Tie Analysis and FMEA

Experience with systems thinking related to autonomous vehicle technology Ability to work with large datasets to identify safety trends
