Job Description
Dynavac is a growing enterprise that manufactures high vacuum process equipment used for space simulation, thin film deposition, and other related technical applications. Our business is comprised of both quasi-standard products, and large-scale custom projects. We have grown consistently over the past twenty-one years of operation and are committed to sustaining that growth.
We are seeking a technical sales engineer to support Sales and R&D efforts in our Thin Films business unit. You will work very closely with our customers as well as the internal organization.
As our Thin Film - Technical Sales Engineer, you will:
- Be a member of the Dynavac Business Development team
- Be a critical team member in collaborative sales with customers- from initial inquiry to proposal:
- Translate customer requirements into system configurations
- Evaluate price/performance tradeoffs from the customer perspective.
- Collaborate with other Dynavac groups such as engineering, software controls, et al, to specify the optimal system configuration and capabilities to meet customer requirements
- Take lead role in preparing detailed Statements of Work (SOW) for customer proposals
- Review proposal documents and ensure that SOW, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and estimate agree.
- Design and continuously improve technical sales processes
- Build processes and tools to continuously improve quality and reduce time and effort of sales process
- Support marketing to maintain sales collateral and website content; identify marketing opportunities to strengthen Dynavac’s positioning
Position qualifications:
- US Citizenship required
- Graduate degree in engineering, physics, or related discipline
- A minimum of 5 yrs. experience in a thin film deposition (or comparable high value products)
- Strong general and practical technical knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
