Traffic Engineer

Overview

Traffic Engineer for a leading manufacturer's representative firm based near Worcester, MA. This role is responsible to provide technical engineering support on the proper application of traffic control devices and ITS products.

Location:

Worcester, Massachusetts. Job type:
Permanent. Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.

Work hours:

8am to 4pm.

Education:

Bachelors.

• Provide technical engineering support on the proper application of traffic control devices and products
• Ensuring proper application, integration, and compliance of traffic control and products within transportation projects
• Collaborate with public agencies, consulting engineers, and contractors to integrate appropriate traffic and products into project designs
• Evaluate product compliance with project requirements, agency standards, and industry regulations
• Review construction plans and project specifications to apply product solutions
• Deliver product presentations and technical trainings
• Support internal sales and operations teams with technical expertise and project guidance

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in traffic or transportation engineering
• Knowledge of traffic signal timing, ITS devices, and roadway communication systems

• Experience working with State DOTs, municipalities, or transportation consulting firms
• Experience providing technical sales support
