Designer, Mechanical Engineer, CAD​/ AutoCAD​/ Mechanical Design

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings for valves, actuators, and related components using CAD tools such as Solid Works.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, and design specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards (ASME, API, ISO) and company design practices.
• Support new product development, product upgrades, and cost‑out initiatives – assist engineers in concept development, prototyping, and design validation.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback on manufacturability and performance.
• Execute Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), update documentation, maintain revision control, and ensure design data integrity in PLM/PDM systems.
• Assist in preparation of test setups, support analysis of research and development laboratory test results (pressure testing, sealing performance), and incorporate feedback into design updates.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–7 years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, or product engineering of valves, actuators, rotating equipment, or similar industrial products.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools, preferably Solid Works.
• Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals (tolerancing, fits, materials, GD&T).
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems and ERP systems is a plus.

Generous wage ranging from $28.00 to $43.00 per hour and benefits package including a 401(k) with company match and company‑funded pension. Salary range is intended to provide a general guideline. Actual compensation will be determined based on market data, internal equity, and candidate credentials. This offer is contingent upon a background check, pre‑employment physical, and drug screen.
