This is an opportunity for an experienced Passive House professional who wants to take ownership of impactful projects, work alongside industry experts, and help shape the future of energy-efficient building design and construction.
In this role, you’ll lead verification, testing, and performance analysis efforts for multifamily and high-performance building projects pursuing some of the industry’s most recognized sustainability certifications.
What You’ll Do- Lead Passive House verification efforts for multifamily and residential projects, including PHIUS certification and HERS ratings.
- Manage and support projects pursuing ENERGY STAR Multifamily New Construction, Indoor airPLUS, and Zero Energy Ready Home certifications.
- Perform enclosure, MEP, and lighting take-offs to support energy analysis and project compliance.
- Conduct on-site inspections, diagnostic testing, and commissioning activities, including blower door, duct leakage, and ventilation testing.
- Collaborate closely with architects, developers, engineers, and contractors to optimize building performance and ensure successful certification outcomes.
- Perform energy analysis, benchmarking, and modeling to evaluate building systems and identify efficiency opportunities.
- Provide technical guidance and practical solutions throughout design and construction phases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Certified Passive House Verifier (PHIUS), including multifamily project experience.
- Strong knowledge of building science, high-performance enclosure systems, HVAC systems, and energy-efficient construction practices.
- Experience supporting ENERGY STAR, Indoor airPLUS, and Zero Energy Ready Home certification programs.
- Hands-on experience with field testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarity with energy modeling and analysis software such as eQuest, Energy Plus, Open Studio, WUFI, and THERM.
- Work on innovative, sustainability-focused projects with real environmental impact.
- High level of technical autonomy and project ownership.
