ELECTRONICS & INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN

POSITION SUMMARY:

$25-40/hr (depending on experience)
Flexible hours! / 40 hours per week!
Do you enjoy troubleshooting electronics, building prototypes, and bringing new ideas to life? As an ELECTRONICS & INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN, you’ll play a key role in supporting engineering laboratories while helping students explore everything from circuit design and embedded systems to 3D printing and laser cutting technologies.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise, problem-solving, and mentorship in an environment where innovation happens every day.

Location:

North Andover, Massachusetts

Responsibilities:
  • MAINTAIN, diagnose, and troubleshoot electronics laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
  • ASSIST students and faculty with circuit construction, soldering, testing, measurements, and electronic prototyping.
  • SUPPORT projects involving embedded systems, sensors, data acquisition, instrumentation, 3D printing, and laser cutting.
  • PREPARE laboratory equipment and instructional materials for classroom and project use.
  • MANAGE inventories of electronic components, fabrication materials, test equipment, and laboratory supplies.
  • PERFORM maintenance, calibration, and optimization of laboratory instrumentation, 3D printers, and laser cutters.
  • PROMOTE safe laboratory practices and maintain an organized, efficient workspace.
  • HELP transform innovative concepts into functional prototypes and real-world solutions.
Desired Background/

Skills:
  • Technical training or equivalent experience in electronics, electrical engineering technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with electronic test equipment, instrumentation, soldering, troubleshooting, 3D printing, and laser cutting.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and digital fabrication technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for LEARNING, BUILDING, and HELPING OTHERS SUCCEED.
