The main purpose of this full‑time position is to assist in the administration of the Temporary Food Service Program under the supervision of the Director of Environmental Health. The role will also utilize knowledge of COMAR 10.15.03 to review temporary event applications and answer inquiries from constituents, other agencies, and staff members. The selected applicant must be willing and able to travel to all Worcester County Health Department sites.
Minimum Qualifications- Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
- Experience: Two years of experience performing administrative staff, clerical, clerical technical, or secretarial work.
- Notes:
- Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year of the required experience.
- Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non‑commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year‑for‑year basis for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with and/or knowledge of COMAR 10.15.03, temporary events, and other aspects of a temporary food service program.
- Experience compiling data and preparing reports.
- Experience in public health programs.
Employees may be assigned duties that require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties must possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
