Private Home Care Aide - Per Diem

The Private Home Care Home Health Aide (HHA) provides essential care and support to clients in their homes. The HHA helps clients maintain daily living activities, preserves dignity and independence, and monitors health status, reporting changes to supervisor. The HHA will be directly responsible for providing high quality care to our clients while being a constant companion striving to protect, nurture, and sustain the clients in a competent, caring, and kind manner.

In addition to providing high quality care, the HHA is also responsible for client safety and the delivery of all services and tasks under the client's care plan.

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have completed the required certification program or its equivalent for Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and has demonstrated competency in this role
• Good interpersonal, communication, and listening skills. Able to be pro‑active with clients (whether engaging in conversation or social projects)
• Demonstrated integrity, maturity, and sound judgment
• Verbal and written communication skills needed in order to communicate clearly, effectively and patiently on the phone and in email/text messages
• Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices
• Physical stamina: ability to lift, bend, stand, walk, assist with transfers, and perform household tasks
• Dependability, compassion, patience, sensitivity to client dignity and privacy
• Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

The Private Home Care HHA position is based on client needs and is per diem which could include holidays, weekends, and variable times and shifts. The HHA is expected to adhere to assigned schedule and arrive timely.
