Counselor III - Intern - Advanced Degree
YOU, Inc., an Affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Counselor III - Intern to join our clinical team. This internship fulfills academic field placement requirements for graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in counseling, social work, or related fields. Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, the intern will gain valuable experience providing therapeutic services, case management, and advocacy for diverse client populations.
This internship is unpaid.
$
Responsibilities
* Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling under supervision.
* Conduct client intakes, assessments, and assist in developing treatment plans.
* Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of services.
* Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and training sessions.
* Assist with case management and referrals to community resources.
* Support clients in achieving mental health and wellness goals.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
* Uphold ethical and professional standards in all interactions.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
* Current enrollment in an accredited Master's program in Counseling, Social Work (MSW), Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
* 0-3 years of related experience
* CANS certification preferred
* Valid Class C or D license required
Skills and Knowledge:
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
* Commitment to diversity, equity, and trauma-informed care
* Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
