Job Description
Our busy Dermatology practice is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team!
Duties:
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record system
- Assist physicians by performing administrative and clinical duties
- Interview patients to obtain their medical history
- Record patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files
- Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments
- Assist physicians during examination by handing over instruments and materials
- Clean treatment rooms following patient examinations
- Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining work practices that comply with established office policy and procedures
- Promote a safe environment for patients, visitors and peers
- Oversee and ensure that patients' needs are met and that patients' are served in an efficient and friendly manner
- Respond to staff doctor needs before, during, and after patient exam
- Answer incoming telephone calls, greet and check in patients in a professional, courteous, and timely manner
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to work with confidential information and under pressure
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrates initiative
- Team player
- Full-Time - Monday-Friday
- 7:30am-5:00pm with an hour lunch M-Thu. Friday 8:00-2:00pm
- One year of experience as a medical assistant is preferred. Practice is willing to train.
- High School Diploma is required
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma or Associate degree preferred
- Pay starts at $23.00 per hour and increases with years of experience.
