36 hours/week, 13-week contract, 3x12s

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Minimum 1 year Patient Care Technician experience required
• Experience in acute care preferred
• Experience in community hospital or LTAC settings preferred

• BLS required
• AVADE preferred

• Assisting nursing staff with direct patient care for adult and geriatric patients on a medical surgical unit
• Obtaining and documenting vital signs, finger sticks, and intake/output measurements
• Assisting with activities of daily living including ambulation, feeding, hygiene, repositioning, and linen changes
• Performing basic procedures such as urine and stool specimen collection and routine catheter care
• Supporting safe patient transfers and transport throughout the facility
• Monitoring and reporting abnormal vital signs or changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Maintaining infection control standards including proper PPE use and equipment cleaning

• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Patient ratio approximately 1:10
• Exposure to telemetry monitoring
• Experience using equipment such as Hoyer lifts, pulse oximetry, glucometers, and hospital beds preferred
