Athletic EMT
Location: Barnstable High School, Barnstable, Massachusetts
Starting Date: Immediately
Employment Type: Seasonal stipend ($4,000 per season)
Job GoalAssist the Athletics Department with medical coverage at games and practices.
Responsibilities- Provide medical coverage for off‑site home contests and home practices when needed.
- Manage and treat injured athletes during contests/practices under the guidance of the Athletic Trainer.
- Assist the Athletic Trainer in identifying replacement supplies to be ordered.
- Meet with the Athletic Director and Athletic Trainer prior to each season to determine additional coverage needs.
- Communicate effectively with the Athletic Director and Athletic Trainer regarding injuries, providing appropriate information and documentation according to District protocols.
- Attend and participate in athletic department pre‑season sports nights.
- Perform additional duties as determined by the Athletic Director.
- Certified EMT (Massachusetts EMT Certification and/or NREMT Certification).
- Current Basic Life Support certification (CPR, AED, and First Aid).
- Prior experience as an Athletic EMT preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
