This position may have a signing bonus available; a member of the Recruitment Team will confirm eligibility during the interview process.

Responsible for the coordination, nutritional evaluation, and medical nutrition therapy plan for patients. Responsible for educating members of the health care team on the science of nutrition. May mentor, provide direction and train clinical dietitians. Develops and leads quality improvement initiatives.

Required:

• Master's Degree in Nutrition, Science, Business or related field if eligible for initial registration on or after January 1st, 2024. If hired prior to January 1, 2024, a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Science, Business or related field is acceptable.
• Current registration with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing agency of the AND.
• Massachusetts state license (LDN) is required upon hire.

Required:

• Minimum of two years' experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Specialized certification in Nutrition or related field, such as Certified Diabetes Educator, Certified Nutrition Support Clinician, or certification in a distinct specialty (e.g., Metabolic Disorders, Transplant, etc.).
• Ability to influence the quality of patient care, in an advisory capacity to the physician and other health care team members.
• Demonstrated skill in analyzing problems and making decisions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

• Demonstrated ability to engage with members of the department and multidisciplinary team to participate in or develop quality improvement initiatives.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

This role is specifically for a metabolism clinic within the Children's Medical Center. We are looking for a candidate with experience in this population. Anticipate 10 hr per week.
