UMass Memorial Health - - Responsibilities:
Escort ambulatory patients and transport them by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed;
Assist nursing staff with moving and positioning patients including lateral transfers;
Deliver stretchers, beds, cribs, and wheelchairs and sanitize transport equipment and vehicles;
Transport patient specimens and other items (e.g., medical records, pharmaceuticals) per infection control guidelines;
Provide clear handoff communication to receiving units and verify patient identification before transport
