Per Diem Speech Therapist

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated per diem Speech Therapist to join our team at Parsons Hill Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Worcester. As a Speech Therapist, you will provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality care and making a positive impact on patients' lives, we encourage you to apply.

Weekly pay up to $60 an hour.

Responsibilities:
  • Screens patients/residents and evaluates them, developing appropriate care plans
  • Provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care
  • May perform additional assigned administrative duties, such as assigning and overseeing resident care activities, medical record oversight, and ordering supplies
  • Consults with and trains patients/residents and caregivers
  • Documents activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basis
  • Demonstrates continuous new learning to remain current in the field
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Speech Therapy
  • Current licensure by the applicable state agency
  • Two (2) years of clinical experience in long-term care preferred
  • CEU's per state licensure requirements

  • Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary
  • Excellent hearing and verbal skills required
  • Manual dexterity required for documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and direct patient care
  • Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands
