Speech Language Pathologist

Diagnose and treat patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders by developing and implementing individualized therapy plans. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients using standardized assessments to identify communication, cognitive, or swallowing impairments.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Monitor and document patient progress regularly, making adjustments to therapy as needed.
  • Provide consultation and support to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers regarding speech and language challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about patient status, treatment progress, and barriers.
  • Complete comprehensive discharge summaries and ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and clinical standards.
Qualifications
  • Possess at least 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, with New Graduates considered if they have Level II clinical experience.
  • Hold a valid State License to practice in Massachusetts.
  • Certification from the Certificates of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) is required.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing standardized assessments and evidence-based clinical practices.
  • Experience working in long-term care or rehabilitation settings preferred.
  • Ability to supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists.
