What You Will Do
  • Support the daily operations and therapeutic milieu of Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS), helping maintain a safe, respectful, recovery-oriented environment for individuals receiving structured substance-use treatment.
  • Perform and document required Signs of Life and facility safety checks accurately, consistently, and in accordance with program policy.
  • Provide respectful, person-centered support to individuals throughout their CSS stay and encourage engagement in treatment, recovery programming, and daily unit activities.
  • Support admissions and discharges, ensuring required information, belongings, orientation materials, and related documentation are completed accurately and clearly.
  • Coordinate care activities based on individual and unit needs and work closely with nursing, counseling, recovery-support, and program staff to promote continuity and quality of care.
  • Support the self-administration of medication as assigned, including completing required documentation and medication counts in accordance with program procedures.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, behavioral or medical concerns, and critical incidents, seeking direction and clinical support from team members when needed.
  • Complete accurate and timely electronic health record entries, incident reports, support requests, transportation requests, shift documentation, and other required records.
  • Provide safe transportation to appointments, aftercare services, and other approved destinations and assist with food service, laundry, stocking, and other unit needs as assigned.
  • Protect confidentiality under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, complete required training, attend staff meetings and supervision, remain flexible for essential-staff coverage, communicate unfinished shift duties, and perform other assigned responsibilities.
Who You Are
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) credential preferred.
  • Ability to understand, empathize with, and provide respectful support to individuals experiencing substance-use disorders, co-occurring mental health challenges, and early recovery needs.
  • Two years of sustained recovery preferred for candidates drawing upon personal recovery experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions, perform basic mathematics, understand written information, and use charts, reports, medication records, and other program documentation accurately.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, observation, and communication skills, with a respectful, empathetic, caring, and nonjudgmental approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, accept support and direction, adapt to changing unit needs, and remain effective during stressful or urgent situations.
