Mental Health Associate, PTRC, 40 Hours, Evenings

UMass Memorial Health - 26 Queen Street - Responsibilities:
Participates as a member of the mental health team and serves both internal and external customers including patients, families, nurses, physicians and other colleagues who support the delivery of care and services.;
Provides clear, timely communication to the Registered Nurse regarding observations and changes in the patient; records behavioral data.;
Maintains patient safety through safety checks, environmental rounds, fall-prevention strategies, and de-escalation techniques; follows restraint policy when caring for restrained patients.;
Leads or co-leads group activities, such as goal-setting and recreational activities, and supports a safe, therapeutic environment.;
Performs a variety of tests and procedures under RN direction (e.g., EKGs, phlebotomy, intake/output) and assists in psychiatric interventions as directed.
