We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring timely access to medications. In this onsite role, you will support both retail pharmacy and specialty pharmacy operations

Job PurposeProvides integrated support to patients and physicians through a hands-on approach to total quality patient care by coordinating across specialty and retail pharmacy services to ensure seamless patient transitions and timely access to medications.
Key Responsibilities Clinical & Patient Care- Prepare and dispense medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and identifying therapeutic incompatibilities.
- Conduct medication therapy management, including reviewing and monitoring medication regimens, advising clinicians on evidence-based therapies, and documenting interventions.
- Provide patient counseling and clinical support to promote optimal treatment outcomes.
- Make referrals to other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
- Organize and direct technician workflow while verifying medication preparation, labeling, and prescription accuracy.
- Coordinate care activities, identify and resolve insurance-related issues, and recognize opportunities for financial assistance programs.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including:
- 340B Program Compliance
- Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation Standards
- Medication Safety Protocols
- Maintain pharmacy records and controlled substance documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Remove outdated and damaged medications from inventory and oversee compliance procedures.
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and other support personnel.
- Train pharmacy staff, students, interns, externs, residents, and healthcare professionals.
- Manage, organize, and update data using pharmacy and database applications.
- Identify trends, resolve operational challenges, recommend improvements, and implement positive change.
- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and customer service excellence.
- Comply with all state and federal pharmacy regulations, DEA requirements, Board of Pharmacy standards, and company policies.
- Maintain active pharmacist licensure and required registrations.
- Stay current on legislation, industry developments, and professional best practices.
- Protect organizational integrity by maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Participate in continuing education, professional organizations, and networking opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS in Pharmacy
- Active Pharmacist license in the applicable state
- Required:
1+ year of experience in a retail pharmacy or specialty pharmacy dispensing environment - Preferred: 5+ years of experience in a retail and/or specialty pharmacy setting
- Strong understanding of pharmacology, medication therapy management, and FDA regulations
- Ability to analyze information, exercise sound clinical judgment, and administer medications accurately
- Excellent verbal communication and patient education skills
- Strong technical, operational, and clinical expertise
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage people and processes effectively
- High attention to detail and commitment to legal and regulatory compliance
- Computer proficiency and experience working with pharmacy technology systems
