Schedule:

Full Time The Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences at UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative group of ophthalmologists and clinical staff dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centered eye care across a broad spectrum of ophthalmic conditions.

The APP will play an integral role in supporting outpatient clinical operations, enhancing patient access, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality ophthalmic care in a fast-paced academic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct patient evaluations and obtain comprehensive medical histories

Perform ophthalmic examinations and assessments under established protocols

Perform intravenous fluorescein angiography (IVFA), including venipuncture, and contrast dye administration

Assist with medication refills and patient triage

Order and interpret diagnostic testing as appropriate

Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program

Massachusetts Medical License with national certification (NCCPA), DEA and CSRPrior ophthalmology experience preferred but not required (to be determined by department)
