STARTING AT $83,000 ANNUAL SALARY BASED ON EXPERIENCE.

Job Summary
  • Maintaining a system for preventing, identifying , reporting, investigating and controlling infections and communicable diseases for all residents, staff, volunteers, visitors and other individuals providing services under a contractual arrangement based upon the facility assessment.
  • During a pandemic event, monitors and manages the surv eillance-testing program, including but not limited to baseline testing of residents and staff, ongoing surveillance if one resident and or staff member has a positive result, and monitoring the county and regions for community- based spread of infection specific to state or federal criteria for testing of staff and residents.
  • The Staff Development Coordinator is a supervisory position responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff, focusing on maintaining clinical competency, updating knowledge on best practices, and ensuring staff are adequately trained to deliver safe and quality patient care . Key responsibilities include needs assessment, curriculum development, delivering in-service training, facilitating orientation for new nurses, and collaborating with unit leaders to identify and address training gaps.
Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Graduation from an accredited, approved school of nursing. Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners is required .

TRAINING AND

EXPERIENCE:

Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control and a t least one year of nursing experience.
