Payroll Specialist

Our client is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a 2–3 month temporary assignment to support weekly payroll operations for a workforce of 200+ employees. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing and will also assist with occasional billing reconciliation tasks.

• Process weekly payroll for 200+ employees
  , ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
• Review timecards, payroll inputs, deductions, and adjustments
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll-related inquiries
• Ensure timely payroll submission and adherence to payroll deadlines
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
• Assist with occasional billing reconciliations
  , including reviewing invoices and identifying discrepancies
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Accounting teams as needed
• Support payroll audits and reporting requests as required

• Proven experience processing high-volume weekly payroll (200+ employees preferred)
• Payroll software experience required (
  Paycor experience a plus, but not required
  )
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Solid understanding of payroll processes, taxes, and compliance fundamentals
• Ability to quickly learn systems and workflows
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Proficiency with Excel and basic accounting concepts preferred
• This is a temporary role with an expected duration of 2–3 months
• Position is ideal for a payroll professional who can step in quickly and operate independently
