HR Business Partner / HR Generalist (Temp-to-Perm)

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts

Work Model: Fully Onsite – 2 days per week

Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm

Pay: $50–$65/hour

Role Overview

This role will serve as a key HR resource responsible for administering HR programs, managing compliance, supporting talent acquisition, and fostering a positive and productive workplace culture. The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR professional who can operate independently, handle sensitive employee matters, and collaborate effectively with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Administration & Employee Relations Administer HR programs including compensation guidance, benefits and leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, employee recognition, morale, and training & development.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, ensuring fair, confidential, and timely resolutions.
  • Lead or support management with employee coaching and counseling to address ongoing performance issues.
  • Handle discipline and terminations in accordance with company policy.
  • Compliance & Policy Management Monitor and ensure adherence to labor laws, industry regulations, and internal policies.
  • Maintain and update HR procedures and employee handbooks as needed.
  • Talent Acquisition & Organizational Strategy Develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned with company goals and culture.
  • Partner with senior leadership on staffing, recruitment, and retention strategies.
  • Performance & Engagement Oversee the performance review process, setting clear benchmarks and guiding managers.
  • Design and implement programs to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Process workers’ compensation claims.
  • Education & Credentials Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and/or Business Administration (minimum required).
  • Professional Certifications SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent professional certification highly preferred.
