Job Description

We are seeking a Employee Relations Specialist to become a part of team! You will be responsible for managing HR & payroll activities for the organization. This critical role works closely to support the overall operations of the organization, with a mix of duties. These include executive support and office management functions, as well as meeting preparation, and project management. The successful candidate must be highly organized, forward-thinking, poised, bright and articulate, and committed to providing a welcoming "concierge" experience.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and experience with scheduling, meeting preparation and minutes, and project management are key criteria.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement company culture, values and policies
  • Develop workforce strategies, to recruit and develop qualified candidates
  • Process weekly payroll
  • Coordinate events focused on employee recognition and dedication
  • Advocate for employee retention and development
  • Oversee data entry and maintenance of employee records
  • Participate in the investigation and guidance for disciplinary actions
  • Maintain/ create/ re-write company policies & procedures as needed
  • Review & maintain company benefits
  • Maintain & implement safety programs
  • Compose and distribute internal and external letters, memos, and other documents as needed
  • Compile informational analysis and database projects as needed
  • Assist with special projects and related research
  • Maintain records and documents
  • Support the leadership team as needed

Communications

  • Respond to various inquiries by phone, e-mail, in person, etc.
  • Type reports and documents

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Human Resources or other related fields
  • Associate's degree required, bachelor's degree preferred. Diverse candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organization skills with an ability to set priorities, meet critical deadlines, manage multiple projects, and produce high quality and accurate work under time constrains.
  • Skilled with MS Word and Excel, familiar with Power Point.
  • Experience with Adobe DC a plus
  • Verbal and written communication skills must be exceptional
  • Great organizational skills, with ability to coordinate and prioritize
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Discretion with handling confidential information
  • Experience in conflict resolution
  • Fundamental knowledge of labor and employment laws
  • Ability to build rapport with all employees
  • Strong leadership qualities

This is an opportunity to fill immediately

Pay rate: DOE

Hours:

Full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
