PBCS Specialist

JOB SUMMARY
The PBCS Specialist is responsible for supporting enterprise Planning and Forecasting, Financial Reporting, and Periods Close processes through expert-level functional and technical knowledge of Oracle PBCS, Essbase and Hyperion Planning 11.2.x. This role partners with Finance, Accounting, and IT stakeholders to support, enhance, and optimize existing financial systems and integrations.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide subject matter expertise in Oracle PBCS, Oracle Hyperion Planning and Oracle Essbase

• Configure the system to meet desired business process requirements

• Develop testing scenarios, test scripts and lead teams in unit, integration and acceptance testing

• Mentor and coach other team members, act as main point of contact for the client, coordinate and lead assigned duties and tasks

• Facilitate train-the-trainer or end-user training

• Work as a consulting team member or an individual technical consultant in the development of technical solutions of moderate complexity

• Find solutions to customer issues and implement proactive solutions to prevent future system issues

• Regularly interact with external customers and customer managers, and identify additional opportunities in customer organization

• Work with Solution Architects and Project Managers to define the right solution for the problem at hand

• Apply interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients; communicate effectively at project team level, facilitate meetings, and deliver presentations

• Transfer knowledge by coaching, training, and mentoring

• Advise clients on best practices in planning, budgeting, and forecasting

Required Qualifications
• 5 or more years of experience with Oracle's Hyperion Planning and/or Oracle EPM Cloud PBCS, including modules (e.g., Workforce Planning, Capex Planning, Project Planning);
Hyperion Financials Reporting (HFR); and data integration tools (DRM, FDMEE, ODI, etc.) with two or more implementations

• Hands-on experience with at least one upgrade project from Hyperion Planning and Essbase to Oracle EPM Cloud PBCS

• Expert-level experience in developing Business Rules and Essbase scripts

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills

• Experience with software full lifecycle methodology

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse team; work independently under minimal supervision and be flexible to participate as a team member with a willingness to help junior staff

• Highly organized and detailed oriented; adaptable to projects quickly with a can-do attitude

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Understanding of financial budgeting and forecasting processes

• Understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow development across multiple industries

Preferred Qualifications
• Graduate degree in Finance

• Experience in automation including REST API calls, SQL or EPM Automate

• Ability to act as an advisor to the client in a functional capacity; a consultant to the client and projects in a technical capacity

Certifications
• Oracle EPM PBCS certification
