We are seeking a detail-oriented Desktop Engineer / PC Refresh Technician to support large-scale device upgrade and replacement initiatives. The ideal candidate will manage imaging, deployment, data migration, and end-user support to ensure seamless transitions to updated hardware.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesExecute end-to-end PC refresh tasks, including imaging, data backup/restore, application installation, and user profile migration.
Coordinate deployment schedules with end users and provide onsite or remote technical support.
Maintain accurate asset records, document refresh progress, and update inventory management systems.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues during refresh activities and elevate when necessary.
Achieve weekly deliverables and deployment targets to meet project timelines.
Skills & Qualifications
Hands‑on experience with Windows OS imaging and deployment using SCCM or similar tools.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with end users.
Solid knowledge of hardware components, device setup, configuration, and asset tracking systems.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deployment schedules.
Experience with Windows 11 setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and user data migration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for generating hardware requirement reports, deployment progress reports, and completion summaries.
Working knowledge of Service Now, including ticket management, asset tracking, and workflow navigation.
Experience with SCCM, Intune, or other enterprise deployment tools.
Hands‑on experience with large‑scale PC refreshes or enterprise hardware rollout initiatives.
