Onsite Interpreter - Worcester, MA

Job Summary

Onsite Contract Interpreter in Worcester, Massachusetts metro area.

• Provide consecutive in person, first-person interpretation.
• Follow interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Propio L.S. clients.
• Follow all Propio L.S. policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and/or regulatory requirements or policies and standards.
• Establish and maintain quality service and positive interaction with all patients, customers, visitors, health care providers, and clinical employees.
• Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge, as required for various clients, such as medical, legal, social services, etc.

• 1+ years of interpreting experience.
• Submission of updated resume in English at time of application.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Intermediate level computer skills.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations including TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B (or declination), TDAP and seasonal influenza and Covid.
• Successful completion of a drug test and background check and security screen.
• A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.
