Investigation Specialist
The City of Worcester is seeking qualified applicants for an Investigation Specialist for the Investigation Division within the Executive Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Under the direction of the Lead Investigator, the position will perform complex investigative enforcement work.
The Investigation Specialist is an in-person position that is responsible for coordinating and conducting administrative investigations of allegations of employee misconduct by City employees, residents, and other individuals who interact with City employees.
The employee performs work under supporting supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
The employee is required to perform all similar or related duties.

Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's degree in business, public administration or a related field.
- Three (3) years of work experience conducting investigations related to discrimination, including protected class harassment and sexual harassment, violations of workplace policies, and employee misconduct.
- Three (3) years of experience with narrative report writing.
- OR Juris Doctor Degree.
- One (1) year of work experience conducting investigations related to discrimination, including protected class harassment and sexual harassment, violations of workplace policies, and employee misconduct.
- Two (2) years of experience with narrative report writing.
- Juris Doctor Degree or a Master's degree in business, public administration or a related field.
- Four (4) years of experience conducting investigations related to discrimination, including protected class harassment and sexual harassment, violations of workplace policies, and employee misconduct.
- Four (4) years of experience with internal investigations.
- Four (4) years of experience with internal investigations involving police matters.
- Four (4) years of experience with internal investigations in a municipal or public setting.
- Four (4) years of experience providing advice and counsel regarding personnel and confidential matters.
- Any specialized certifications/training in MCAD, EEOC & ADA investigations.
