We’re seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to support our growing legal team. The ideal candidate for this position will use their work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file motions, interview clients, and conduct legal research. Compensation
$60,000 yearly

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible
  • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits
  • Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems
  • Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings
  • Coordinate law office activity, including the drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers

Qualifications

  • Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
  • 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference
  • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills
  • Must possess extensive experience as a paralegal, specifically in the Family Law arena, including proficiency in preparing Financial Statements, handling Discovery processes, and drafting Motions & Pleadings.
  • Should have experience in drafting and managing documents related to Real Estate transactions, including purchases and sales.

Required

  • 3-5 years of family law experience
