PositionSummary
The Warehouse Worker (Runner) is responsible for assisting in venue distribution/warehouse operations, including inventory, receiving, purchase order tracking, clean‑up, transfers, and equipment maintenance. This is a key position for the effective and profitable operation of the business. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a variable event‑driven schedule, which includes evenings and weekends. Open availability, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, self‑direction, and independent decision‑making skills are required.
Must be able to work well in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced, event‑driven environment.
This role pays an hourly rate of $17.00 to $19.00.

About The VenuePolar Park is a baseball park in Worcester, Massachusetts, serving as the home of the Worcester Red Sox, a Minor League Baseball team competing at the Triple‑A level and an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
Responsibilities Morning Warehouse Associate (REQS/Receiving)- Works between 7 AM and 4 PM (shifts available seven days per week!)
- Receives deliveries, checking for accuracy and quality before rotating with on‑hand stock in our warehouse/store rooms
- Fulfills requisition sheets to accurately restock bars, concession stands, or kitchens for upcoming events
- Stages products for upcoming events
- Receiving product deliveries
- Proper food rotation
- Processing spoilage
- Distribution of product
- Equipment maintenance
- Overseeing proper product transfers
- Maintains working knowledge of all existing concessions locations: geographical location, equipment, evacuation procedures, adjacent employee and guest areas, and facility access.
- Works between 3 PM and 11 PM (shifts available seven days per week!)
- Fluctuating, event‑based schedule
- Product fulfillment during events
- Services draft beer lines to exchange kegs or CO₂ tanks when necessary
- Restocking Grab & Go locations at End of Day
- Post‑Event Breakdown
- Moves kegs of beer using a hand truck.
- Running product through an event
- Warehouse closing duties (sweep, mop, trash & recycling processed)
- Maintains working knowledge of all existing concessions locations: geographical location, equipment, evacuation procedures, adjacent employee and guest areas, and facility access.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of food service, hospitality, or warehousing experience.
- Similar venue experience is a plus.
- Physical ability to execute warehouse duties.
- Food Service Certification (Serv Safe).
- Ability to communicate with employees, co‑workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, professional, and courteous manner that fosters a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
- Ability to work well in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced, event‑driven environment.
- Possess thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, safety standards, etc. pertaining to venue concession operations.
- Performing the duties of this position involves extensive and continuous standing and walking.
- Able to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Required to frequently lift heavy objects (a team lift is always encouraged when needed!).
- Experience operating heavy‑duty equipment, including electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and forklifts, is strongly desired.
