Pay Rate: $25.00–$31.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Job SummaryThe Facilities Technician’s responsibilities include traveling to all Good Chemistry locations to maintain buildings and ensure property is kept in quality condition by conducting repairs and maintenance of buildings, furniture, fixtures, building exteriors and equipment. Typical hours are 6:30 am–3:00 pm, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in daily repair and maintenance operations.
- Promptly handle all maintenance problems within the department’s areas of responsibility.
- Ensure premises and equipment are well‑maintained, clean and safe.
- Be on call 24/7 to respond to emergency situations such as system failures or water leaks.
- Administer approved procedures related to task assignment, equipment use, safety, preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure efficient and prompt handling of all department work orders and requests.
- High School Diploma.
- Must be at least 21 years old to work with cannabis.
- Must pass a CORI background check to obtain an Agent Registration badge through the Cannabis Control Commission (CCC).
- Two to four years of experience in construction, maintenance or other technical fields.
- Must qualify for the use of a full‑face respirator.
- Must be able to complete repetitive fine‑motor movements.
- Must be able to seize, hold, grasp, turn, open, close, lift or otherwise manipulate packaging, products and pruning equipment repetitively throughout a 10‑hour shift.
- Must be able to work in an environment with high noise and high light intensity.
- Must be comfortable using provided PPE such as masks, hair nets, beard covers, respirators, boot covers, non‑slip shoes and Tyvek suits as necessary.

- Ability to work independently.
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and painting, with HVAC experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively across departments.
- Enthusiasm for the cannabis industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication, prioritization and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Technical capacity for maintenance and repair tasks.
Physical demands may include heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs, 100 lbs with mechanical assistance), climbing, bending, sweeping, shoveling and other cleanup tasks. The role requires standing, walking, sitting for extended periods, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, speaking, hearing, tasting and smelling. Workplace EnvironmentEmployees may be exposed to dust, pollen and plant pathogens. All jobs require daily use of provided PPE such as masks, hair nets, beard covers, respirators, boot covers, hearing protection, aprons, gloves, Tyvek suits and goggles/eye protection as necessary. Work may involve loud noises from air compressors, packaging equipment, alarms and other machinery.
