About the Role
Exempt. Hiring Range: $ - $.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 0800‑Shift, 8 hours, 40 hours weekly. Signing bonus may be available at the interviewer’s discretion.
Responsible for managing and developing a team and building relationships with operational leaders to drive departmental and organizational objectives.
- Relationship Building and Proactive Management
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with operational staff.
- Proactively identifies barriers to completing work requirements and escalates issues as needed.
- Adapts to shifts in the dynamic healthcare environment by assigning and prioritizing work effectively.
- Application Management
- Understand and define application roadmap for all critical applications.
- Measure and ensure adoption of core technologies throughout the organization.
- Monitor, recommend, and ensure end‑of‑life systems are managed to maintain continuity.
- Plan and oversee annual strategy for all portfolio optimization initiatives.
- Oversee the application upgrade process, including recommending new functionality.
- Lead discussions with subject matter experts, caregivers, and vendors to evaluate and configure application features.
- Direct configuration of application features, security settings, and creation of support documentation, including test scripts and workflow diagrams.
- Product and System Evaluation
- Partner with clinical stakeholders and IS Shared Services to drive product selection and evaluate system functionality to ensure it meets customer requirements.
- Knowledge Advancement
- Actively learn and apply new skills to improve support for customers and coworkers.
- Continuously advance knowledge of current products, including obtaining application certifications.
- Actively participate in professional development programs defined by the department.
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution
- Monitor and engage in ticket triage process and analysis to determine appropriate work streams.
- Assist in scoping efforts for issue resolution.
- Help monitor and meet service level agreements.
- Identify common trends and proactively address key drivers.
- Direct troubleshooting of application components within server configurations.
- Vendor Coordination
- Manage working relationships with third‑party vendors to ensure installation and configuration of software comply with UMMH standards.
- Project Management Responsibilities
- Manage work across various functional teams for cross‑functional projects.
- Monitor project scope and adherence to project management guidelines.
- Participate or develop application‑related project plans.
- Escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in project estimation work.
- Develop and enforce department procedures and standards for deployment and configuration.
- Establish and uphold build standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Personnel Management
- Oversee the on‑call schedule and act as the primary escalation point for on‑call analysts.
- Manage employee workloads, create KPIs/metrics, and track overall performance.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and support staff development.
- Execute administrative duties, including accurate time‑sheet submission, payroll approval, staffing level maintenance, and budget participation.
- Staff Development and Engagement
- Help staff stay engaged with their work and support career goals.
- Provide guidance and opportunities for professional growth and serve as primary mentor.
- Focus on maintaining a happy, engaged workforce.
- Adaptability
- Demonstrate high adaptability to dynamic responsibilities and evolving project requirements. Must be able to work off hours as needed and participate in an on‑call rotation.
- License/Certification/Education
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree or 8 years equivalent experience. - Required:
Epic/Workday/Application certifications or ability to achieve. - Required:
Lean Green Belt certification or ability to achieve. - Preferred:
Project Management certification (PMP/CAPM).
