Program Manager to assist the Northeast Fisheries’ Science Center’s (NEFSC) Marine Development and Ecology Branch (MDEB). A critical component of MDEB’s mission is to work with partners in the marine development industry to mitigate the effects of marine development on scientific surveys of marine organisms.
This will be part-time position with 664 hours allotted through the contract year, ending September 29, 2026. Anticipated weekly hours are between 20 and 40 hours. Work will be performed on-site at a Northeast Fisheries Science Center, as well as aboard research vessels in the Northwest Atlantic Ocean, or remotely in coordination with the COR and Project Lead. The contract has a one-year base period and will have up to three (3) 12-month option periods.
Duties:
- Project management experience – PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Marine Science or Fisheries education background – Masters preferred.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, especially scientific writing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience planning group meetings and/or workshops.
- Experience working with renewable energy industry is ideal but not required.
- Position can be onsite in or remote.
Salary range is $45 – $55 per hour, dependent upon experience.
