Role OverviewThis is a rolethat’sideal for someone thatis eagerto roll up their sleeves, be handsonand move fast.
As Engineering Technician ,you’llbea keyto the successful delivery of our product to customers.
This will include fabricating and testing hardware,and managing procurement,inventory and shipping.
- Work with engineering to design mechanical parts and systems from concept through fabrication-ready models
- Work with engineeringevelopandmaintainengineering drawings, tolerances, and BOMs to support fabrication and procurement
- Work with engineering to iterate designs based on prototype feedback, test results, and field observations
- Assemble mechanical and electromechanical products using hand tools and fixtures
- Fabricate components and hardware as needed
- Support basic electrical assembly tasks including wiring, connector termination, and soldering
- Perform product inspections, fit checks, and functional tests
- Conduct mechanical and fatigue testing on prototypes and production units
- Record measurements, test outcomes, and anomalies during evaluations
- Handle ordering, receiving, labeling, and stocking of hardware
- Update inventory, usage logs, receiving spreadsheets, and build records
- Document assembly procedures, mechanical processes, and test workflows
- Helpmaintainup-to-date build instructions, SOPs, and technical notes
- Package and ship completed mechanical assemblies to customers
- Update shipping logs, tracking info, and outgoing inventory records
- Communicate with customersregardingshipments or returns
- Sort scrap-metal samples for testing
- Operate material-analysis instruments to characterize metal composition
- Record measurements, manage sample IDs, and helpmaintaindatasets
- Assistin preparing data for analysis, charts, and internal reports
- High School Diploma/GED
- Expereiceneworking in mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, or roboticsrelated fields
- 1–5 years of experience in technical, mechanical, or hands-on engineering work
- Ability to commute to our facility in Worcester, MA on a regular basis
- Comfortable performing manual tasks, includinglifting upto 50 pounds
- Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, tools, fixtures, or fabrication
- Self-sufficient, organized, and able to manage competing priorities without close supervision
- Experience with basic electrical work: low-voltage wiring, soldering and PCB-level assembly
- Experience with packaging, shipping, or inventory management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative to solve problems and complete tasks
- Interest in materials, recycling, or sustainable technology (bonus)
