Printing VP of Operations

Job Description

Leading specialty print provider in MA is searching to hire an Operations Manager.

• Oversee and manage manufacturing operations from prepress through printing and warehousing and shipping.
• Manage the production schedule, press equipment maintenance, quality and on-time delivery of printed products meeting and/or exceeding client expectations.
• Maintain accurate production reports including production output, downtime, and quality metrics.
• Use KPI's and metrics to improve manufacturing processes where needed.
• Oversee the set up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of printing presses to ensure best performance.
• Oversee the recruitment, training and supervision of the press crews and technicians.
• Work with internal dept. managers to ensure accurate supply of raw materials and consumables are on the manufacturing floor, in time for production.
• Ensure Lean Manufacturing Practices are being upheld in production.
• Budgetary responsibilities.

• Minimum 7 years' experience in print operations management. Rotogravure a plus.
• Strong technical understanding of web-fed printing operations.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
• Ability to communicate with senior level management, peers, hourly employees and clients.
• Proven track record of using Lean Manufacturing Practices to improve processes, reduce waste and down times.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable on the manufacturing floor.
• PC proficient

Starting base salary $125,000 - $140,000 + benefits, 401k match and relocation pkg.
