Job Summary
The Welder I is responsible for performing routine welding operations on production components and assemblies in a manufacturing environment. This role performs hand welding and robotic welding on both repetitive and non-repetitive work while ensuring products meet quality, safety, and production standards. The Welder I prepares materials for welding, operates various welding equipment, performs finishing work, and supports manufacturing operations as needed.
The ideal candidate possesses 1–3 years of welding experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work from manufacturing instructions, drawings, and specifications.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1–3 years of welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment required.
- Experience performing MIG, TIG, spot, arc, or plasma welding operations preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation.
- Ability to safely operate welding equipment and related fabrication tools.
- Experience using grinders, deburring tools, and finishing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical production activities throughout the workday.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 1–3 years of welding experience required.
- Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment preferred.
- Experience operating MIG, TIG, arc, spot, or plasma welding equipment preferred.
- Experience reading manufacturing instructions, work orders, or assembly documentation preferred.
- Experience performing grinding, deburring, fitting, and finishing operations preferred.
