The Digital Press Assistant Operator provides essential production support within a digital print environment by assisting with material movement, product handling, equipment support, and workflow coordination. This entry-level position helps ensure that printed corrugated products move through production efficiently while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and housekeeping.
The position supports Digital Press Operators through staging, bundling, inspection, and organization of materials, while developing foundational knowledge of digital print processes, department procedures, and operational best practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, production, or print environment preferred.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including production tickets, and established process protocols.
- Strong attention to detail when handling, counting, stacking, and bundling products.
- Ability to meet productivity expectations while maintaining quality standards.
- Dependable, proactive, and willing to learn digital print production processes.
- Must have attention to detail and focused concentration.
- Must be able to complete tasks that require a particular speed or productivity quota.
- Must be able to adhere to process protocol and must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner.
- Regularly lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly stand, walk, bend, and move materials throughout the production area.
- Frequently use hands to handle materials, equipment, and finished products.
- Frequently communicate verbally and hear operational instructions.
- Regularly reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Manufacturing and production environment with moving equipment and materials.
- Noise levels are typically moderate and may require hearing protection in designated areas.
- Work environment may be subject to varying temperatures and production demands.
