Position: Production Operator – Brewery Operations Department (Middlesex County)

Job Summary

Cowbell Brewing Co. is seeking a Production Operator to join our brewery operations team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, learning technical processes, and working as part of a manufacturing team.

Previous brewing experience is an asset but is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. As a Production Operator, you will help produce beer and other beverages by operating equipment, monitoring production processes, cleaning and sanitizing tanks and equipment, moving product through various stages of production, and supporting packaging operations.

Successful candidates are reliable, mechanically inclined, safety‑focused, and take pride in producing a high‑quality product.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Operate the cellar; following recipes and ensuring overall quality to meet schedule, production and company goals.
  • Yeast management; following all procedures for harvesting, pitching, cell concentration and viability checks.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing of tanks, filter equipment, hoses, etc.
  • Centrifuging, carbonating, sample preparation.
  • Dose, blend, and mix products.
  • Understanding and practicing all internal safety standards.
  • Assist in a current project and product development.
  • Cellar area housekeeping.
  • Assist with packaging as needed.
  • Assist with creation and maintenance of SOPs.
  • Perform organizational tasks and problem solving.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Formal brewing experience, 1-2 years preferred.
  • Education in brewing, food science, chemistry or microbiology an asset.
  • Able to perform minor maintenance repairs.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, teamwork and proactivity.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize.
Working Conditions
  • Position may require long periods of standing and walking.
  • Required to work in a loud, open area.
  • May be required to lift heavy objects and complete tasks that are physically demanding.
  • Required to meet a number of deadlines which may cause stress.
