About the Role
The Assistant Control Room Operator (ACRO) leads and directs employees under general supervision, stands watch and operates the facility, and monitors the status of all plant systems continuously. The ACRO responds to alarms, performs corrective actions, assists with plant shutdown and start‑up procedures, supports plant meeting requirements, writes permits, and tests confined spaces. The role also requires a Massachusetts Third Class Engineer’s License (chapter 146 of the M.G.L.).
Responsibilities- Continuously monitor the status of all plant systems.
- Respond to alarms and take appropriate corrective action as directed by the Control Room Operator.
- Aid in executing plant shutdown and start‑up procedures.
- Assist in meeting plant operational requirements while maintaining safety, environmental and productivity standards.
- Write permits and test confined spaces.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.
- Massachusetts Third Class Engineer’s License (chapter 146 of the M.G.L.).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training preferred.

$73,807.00 – $ (annualized salary for hourly roles).
