Lab Technician - Metallography PurposeProvide overall technical support to Worcester Metallurgy, Quality, and Operations.
Essential Job Functions- Prepare metallurgical specimens and perform microstructure evaluations.
- Prepare and evaluate on-part microstructures on Titanium & Ni-based Superalloys
- Provide support to Worcester Metallurgy
- Preparation of different chemical etchants for microstructure evaluation.
- Minimum of high school diploma with concentration in science or mathematics. College degree or course work preferred.
- Proficient in PC skills (XP, WORD, EXCEL).
- Experience handling acids and chemicals preferred
- Experience working in trades, operating machinery preferred
- Must also be able to work independently with minimum direction.
- Must be available to work weekends

- Ability to work in a shop floor environment
- Analytical problem solving.
- Effective listening and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail.
- Good math skills.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.
US Citizenship or Perm Residency is required due to government military contracts.
