Cannabis Cultivation Technician

Viridian Staffing's client is looking for temporary cultivation techs to help with a cannabis garden located 60 minutes northwest of Worcester, Massachusetts. The assignment is expected to start in mid-April and for workers who meet or exceed performance expectations, this position could convert to a permanent opportunity.

Work shift:

approximately 6:00am - 3:30pm | Monday-Friday.

As a cultivation tech, you will be focused on assisting head growers and assistant growers with a variety of tasks with the cannabis plants in an indoor grow environment. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to manicuring, monitoring, pruning, watering, planting, trimming, cleanliness and efficiency of production area. You may also get the opportunity to learn how to apply nutrients and pest management methodologies.

You must have the ability to wear a N95 mask while around cannabis product and be around plant pollen for an 8-hour period of time. You bring with you the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment. You are known for your effective time-management skills, ability to multi-task, and are always able to arrive on time and willing to give 100%.

You also have the ability to sit, stand, kneel, twist and lift plants and equipment up to 50 pounds for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be eligible to work for a licensed cannabis company in the State of Massachusetts
• Reliable transportation and ability to arrive on time
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, twist and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods of time
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to take direction, have a growth mindset, and work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
• Ability to be around plant materials up to 8 hours
• At least two professional references able to speak to your great work ethic

Pay range: $17.50/hour
