CNC Programmer

Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Friday Direct Hire

Are you a CNC Programmer who enjoys solving complex machining problems rather than programming the same parts every day?

We are recruiting for an established precision manufacturer serving demanding aerospace and defense customers. The company operates a modern, climate-controlled machining facility with advanced CNC equipment and invests in the technology and tools its programmers and machinists need to succeed.

This is an opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer who enjoys challenging work, complex geometries, and a high-mix manufacturing environment.

The Opportunity

You will program a variety of new and geometrically complex components across multiple CNC machining centers. Rather than focusing primarily on repeat production, you will regularly work with new parts, prints, models, tooling strategies, and machining processes.

You will also work directly with machinists and quality personnel to move parts efficiently from programming through production.

What You'll Do

• Develop CAM programs for complex precision-machined components

• Program multiple CNC machining centers and new part configurations

• Review engineering drawings, solid models, specifications, and sketches to determine machining requirements

• Develop efficient machining sequences, tooling strategies, and toolpaths

• Apply mathematics, machining knowledge, and problem-solving skills to programming decisions

• Work directly with CNC machinists during setup and production

• Establish machining expectations and help troubleshoot production challenges

• Optimize programs and toolpaths for quality, cycle time, and manufacturing efficiency

• Modify programs when needed to resolve quality issues or prevent production delays

• Work closely with Quality and CMM inspection personnel

• Apply GD&T and metrology principles when developing and troubleshooting machining processes

What We're Looking For

• Experience programming CNC machining centers

• Strong CAM programming experience

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, prints, and solid models

• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, feeds, speeds, and work holding

• Understanding of GD&T and precision inspection requirements

• Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming problems

• Strong mathematical and technical aptitude

• Ability to communicate and collaborate with machinists, engineering, and quality

• Interest in continuing to develop your CNC programming and manufacturing expertise

CAM Software

Candidates with strong experience using Mastercam, Power Mill, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, EdgeCAM, Solid Works, or other CAM platforms are encouraged to apply.

For the right experienced programmer, the company is open to investing in the CAM software that best supports your experience and productivity.

Experience That Will Stand Out

• Programming complex, tight-tolerance machined components

• Low-volume, high-mix manufacturing

• Aerospace or defense manufacturing

• Mastercam programming

• SurfCAM or Feature CAM

• Power Mill or Siemens NX

• Multi-axis CNC machining

• Strong GD&T and metrology knowledge

• Experience working directly with CMM inspection departments

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is a direct-hire position with an established precision manufacturer that continues to invest in equipment, technology, and its people.

You will have the opportunity to work on challenging parts rather than spending every day maintaining repetitive production programs.

The company offers:

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour based on experience
