PART-TIME Employment/Training Worcester, MA, US

Salary Range: $24.76 To $24.76 Annually

*$500 sign on bonus ($250 at the completion of first week of training and $250 after successfully completion of first 90 days) *

Position:Employment Specialist Part Time (ASL Required)

Rate Of Pay:$24.76 Per hour, plus a $20 bi-weekly stipend for second language

Location:Worcester, MA

Schedule:20 Hours Per Week;
Varying hours with flexibility to meet program needs

Summary:

  • The Employment Specialist will help individuals on a path to life success, by helping identifying resources and support services within the community. You will develop and service employment relationships between clients and community employers, providing access to an array of employment, job training, and educational opportunities. You will assist individuals through resume writing, the application process, interview preparedness, and supports on the job.

    The Employment Specialist promotes self-sufficiency and independence through various adaptability, communication, and problem-solving skill building activities. Additional duties include vocational guidance, job development, job placement, employer education, and customer relations.

Qualifications:

  • High School/GED and 1 year of experience required, or an Associate's degree with 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and a reliable vehicle
  • Fluency in American Sign Language is required.

Requirements:

  • Ability to use computers to include Microsoft Word, data entry, email, and internet essential.
  • Must have a willingness to network and showcase relationship building skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license, 3 years driving experience, good driving record, use of vehicle and willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle.
  • Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices, and community organizations.
  • Must be willing to travel regularly (This position is mileage reimbursement eligible**)
