Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float position requiring 3 years of ICU experience and a Massachusetts RN license, working nights across all adult ICUs and step-down units.
Responsibilities- Float position covering all adult ICU and step-down units within a large academic medical center
- Patients will not include post cardiac surgery, balloon pump, Impella, transplant, or EVD cases
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend rotation required
- Holiday rotation required
- Candidates must be comfortable floating across all adult ICU environments, including step-down — candidates who are not comfortable with this scope should not apply
- Any call-outs must be made up before the end of the assignment
- Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
- 5 years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility preferred
- Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG test
- 2 professional references required, at least one of which must be from a Nurse Manager or above
- Nurses with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license are not eligible for this position
