Nurse Practitioner - Mobile Van Part-Time

The Nurse Practitioner will provide primary healthcare, education, and clinical functions consistent with the Adult Nurse Practitioner specialty under the regulations outlined in the Scope of Practice signed by the Chief Medical Officer.

• Provide primary and acute health care to individuals aged 13 and older who are present at the mobile health unit, according to the regulations indicated on Scope of Practice signed by the Medical Director.
• Document clinic visits and all telephone or verbal contacts in patient charts.
• Review initial and follow-up labs and diagnostic tests.
• Participate in the training of students assigned to the Health Center.
• Provide healthcare based on clinical protocols that have been reviewed and approved annually by the Medical Director.
• Collaborate with outreach teams to identify, locate, and engage vulnerable, underserved individuals and populations.
• Meet quarterly with the Chief Medical Officer and review ten random charts in which medication was prescribed; maintain ongoing list and file review with clinic nurse manager.
• Attend Health Center staff and Mobile Health Team meetings.
• Consult and refer to Health Center doctors and other physicians as needed to provide optimal care.
• Attend conferences and trainings approved by the clinic manager that reflect clinic standards.

• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
• National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
• Massachusetts license to practice in the expanded nursing role.
• Prescription privileges in Massachusetts (possess or obtain).
• Certified in Basic Life Support (CPR).

Hourly rate: $55 - $70 per hour.
