Director of Nursing, Healthcare Nursing
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing Services to join our care team at Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center! This salaried role ranges from $140,000 to $160,000 with weekly pay.

Job Summary:As a Director of Nursing Services, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of our Nursing Services Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility.
Responsibilities:- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department, according to state and federal guidelines and scope of patient care
- Maintain and review and have input to development of all clinical policies and procedures
- Develop and implement a nursing service organization structure
- Determine the staffing needs of the nursing service department, making recommendations to the Administrator, necessary to meet the needs of the residents
- Oversee licensed nursing staff
- Develop work assignments and schedules duty hours, and/or assist nursing supervisor staff in completing and performing tasks necessary to ensure quality of care
- Develop and maintain an on‑call program for the nursing department
- Make daily rounds of each nursing unit and do visual inspection on each unit
- Review satisfaction of care and services with interviews with families and residents
- Assist the Infection Preventionist in establishing and maintaining the Infection Control Program
- Assist the Director of Staff Development in ensuring that all mandatory in‑service education sessions, which are required by state and federal law, are performed per schedule; documented and such documentation is retained
- Assist the Administrator in developing safety standards for the nursing department and monitors these through employee incidents and develops a plan of correction and audit tool for prevention
- Abide by all reporting policies and measures set forth by Athena Health Care Systems
- Other duties assigned by managerial team
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, college, or university, B.S.N. preferred
- Must possess an active and unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts
- CPR certified
- Certification in Gerontology preferred
- Prior experience as a DNS, ADNS, Staff Development, or other nursing leadership role required
